What We Support

Funding the Work That Expands Access to Ownership

New Majority Capital Foundation provides philanthropic support for a variety of initiatives that:

  • Expand access to business ownership
  • Strengthen pathways to entrepreneurship through acquisition (ETA)
  • Fund research and enablement efforts

The Foundation does not operate businesses or investment vehicles. Instead, we fund the programs and research that prepare entrepreneurs to buy and run existing businesses.

Our Focus Areas

Our funding is directed toward work that supports individuals and ecosystems across the ownership lifecycle — from buyer readiness to seller transition planning.

bETA Accelerator

The Foundation powers bETA, a hybrid accelerator that prepares aspiring entrepreneurs to acquire and operate existing businesses.

Grant funding supports:

  • Program delivery and curriculum development
  • Expert facilitation and peer learning
  • Alumni engagement and continued learning
  • Access to resources that reduce barriers to acquisition

The Foundation’s role is to ensure broad access to high-quality acquisition education, particularly for entrepreneurs historically excluded from ownership opportunities.

Succession Ready

The Foundation supports Succession Ready, a training program for current business owners considering transition or exit.

Foundation funding enables:

  • Exit strategy readiness assessments
  • Educational training for owners interested in navigating succession planning
  • Support that prioritizes continuity, stability, and informed decision-making

Through Succession Ready, the Foundation helps address the seller side of the ownership transition equation.

Capital Access & Wraparound Support

The Foundation enables financial products and wraparound support that reduce friction during acquisition and early ownership, including:

  • Pre-acquisition Loan financing and other similar initiatives
  • Targeted funds, such as the Wellness Fund, to make bETA accessible to all qualified participants
  • Technical assistance and resources that complement traditional financing

These efforts are designed to address gaps that training alone does not solve.

Research & Field-Building

The Foundation supports ETA research and programming that strengthens the accessibility of ownership.

Funding supports:

  • Research on acquisition readiness, outcomes, and barriers
  • Events and engagements to introduce new audiences to the opportunity of ETA

This work helps ensure that programs and capital strategies are informed by evidence and historically underserved entrepreneurs gain access to the opportunity of business acquisition.
